Actors Headshots London
Welcome to my studio in South East London where I specialize in creating bespoke headshots and portraits. I work with studio lighting and a whole host of canvas backdrops. My goal is that every individual who walks through my studio door comes away with a selection of headshots and portraits that represents them as they really are. Ive never been in to rushing things so I just work with one actor/performer/creative a day. Everyone is unique and requires a different approach so I would rather have the time to give people the space and breathing room they need. Headshots take time. I'm here for it.
Some actors find the process of having their headshots taken a little daunting but here in my London studio its all stress free as we remove as many of the pressures as possible. Time is on our side, and there's no need to rush. We usually kick things off by sipping on a little mint tea, discuss wardrobe choices, and chill to everything from the soulful sounds of Tom Waits to the more modern nerd funk of Vulfpeck. Music is very important I think and whether its Sufjan Stevens, Bill Evans or Nas we will be sonically well supported.
One of the most important things to me is the emphasis on individuality, the key I think to taking a headshot that really shows the industry who you are. One of the ways I achieve this is encouraging actors to raid their wardrobes ( and other peoples wardrobes too ) in order to bring along as wide a range of clothing as possible. So, whether it's that cerulean jumpsuit hidden at the back of your closet or your favourite flying jacket that you've worn out a thousand times we won't rest until we have explored all our options. In my headshot studio we have plenty of time to experiment and capture the various facets of your personality. I shoot simple looks too but I'm not afraid of colour, patterns and feature fuchsia suits. Bring it on.
The world of headshots and portraits has really evolved, moving beyond rigid, conventional styles to embrace you, as you are. Here in my studio we celebrate that.
